Here's my custom soundtrack for the legendary 1972 film
THE LAST HOUSE ON DEAD END STREET.
Finally released in 1977, this catalogue of unpleasantness spent many years 'lost', and I still recall the thrill when I got my hands on a 10th generation copy back in the VHS trading days (RIP). The film has since been released on a couple of DVD labels, each boasting a superb variety of extras and information. Director Roger Watkins only made himself known 11 years ago, ending nearly 30 years of speculation about who actually directed the film.
I could carry on with this subject, but anyone who wants to know more about the film should read this comprehensive series of articles from the excellent HEADPRESS magazine.
As for the soundtrack; fans of the KPM series of library records, may recognize a few pieces of music from 'KPM 1103 - Eric Peters - Electromusic (1972)'. The tracks "Occult" and "Pulse of Terror" were both used to great effect, and are included on my soundtrack sourced straight from the film - complete with a variety of harrowing background noises/ screams/ murders etc..
I must advise those of a nervous disposition to either stay away from this completely, or to listen to it with the lights on and the door locked.

The Innocents [1961] : Custom Soundtrack.

If you've seen this classic, then you'll know that it's crammed full of eerie noises and disturbing atmosphere. I've taken the entire audio track from the movie, and isolated all the creepy sound effects and musical oddities; editing them together into one continuous piece of music. Some moments provide subtle chills, while others will make you jump out of your armchair !
At the end, I've included "O Willow Waly", the song from the film, written by Georges Auric and Paul Dehn and sung on the soundtrack by Isla Cameron; this was originally released in the UK on a Decca single in March, 1962.
I played this last night by a roaring fire, and a major supernatural entity entered the cottage through the chimney.

Pye Corner Audio : ‘Black Mill Tapes Vol. 1′

This magnificent album gets my vote as the best release of 2010.
When you walk down a country lane at dusk, and briefly catch sight of a figure in the murk, this is the music that the spectre is probably enjoying.

"As a keen collector of tobacco pipes, our head technician was at Coldred village winter auction. However, it was another lot that caught his attention, three boxes described in the auction catalogue as “archived magnetic recordings”.Being the winning, and only, bidder, he eagerly awaited delivery of the items.After opening the boxes he discovered a number of 1/4″ reel to reel tapes and compact cassettes, in various states of decay. Upon careful inspection, and after performing the necessary precautionary rites and measures, our head technician transferred the contents of the tapes.To this end he applied no noise reduction, enhancement or other processing, so as to preserve the spirit of the recordings.Oh, and the boxes had only three words marked on each: “Black Mill Sessions”..."

Messiah of Evil - Custom Soundtrack

Rejoice, you fans of twisted, evil psychedelic madness.
I present my custom made Soundtrack for the hideously insane 1973 surreal masterpiece MESSIAH OF EVIL.
No official soundtrack was released for this one, so I recorded as much audio as I could directly from the film. The results were edited over 22 separate stereo tracks, and finally mixed into one continuous piece of music.
The original score by Phillan Bishop is truly unsettling, and due to the recording process, a variety of eerie and disturbing vocals have been included in my final version.
Listen to this by candlelight with your favourite brand of cough medicine/ or use it to rid yourself of unwanted house-guests.

The Horror Of Abbot's Grange

As Autumn makes it's welcome appearance, I have finished a new compilation in time for Halloween. Those who enjoyed Children of the Drones , should find this one similarly haunting, and an ideal accompaniment to your favourite seasonal narcotics / drinks.
Be warned; there are sonic spectres invoked between (and during) tracks that remain unexplained..

Gerald Gardner - Radio Recordings

Gerald Gardner, the father of modern Wicca, was featured on a number of radio broadcasts along with a few of his coven members such as Patricia Crowther. Some enterprising soul gathered these recordings together and provided them on an audio CD that was bundled with a boxed set of Gardner's books "Witchcraft Today" and "The Meaning of Witchcraft" published and sold by Mercury Publishing in 1999 or 2000. The tracks are as follows:
